Our Opinion


Introducing this new one bedroom apartment on the popular Altamira complex in the Del Duque area of Tenerife. The apartment has wonderful sea and pool views as it is on the 4th floor. The apartment has a double bed in the bedroom and there is also a washing machine in the bathroom. It is a lovely apartment but to be honest the biggest selling point is the view. The owner of this apartment asks for a deposit to confirm the booking and the balance of the booking fee is payable in cash on arrival.

Altamira is a very popular complex. Our guests tell us that the snack bar by the pool is very good. It sells pizzas and toasties amongst other things. There is also a restaurant onsite which is very good. The complex is very well maintained and the pool is clean and not too busy. There are supermarkets, bars and restaurants nearby to the complex and many more if you walk towards Fanabe. The complex is very popular with couples for a romantic holiday, as the complex is in an upmarket area, which is quieter than the busier resorts of Las Americas. The individual apartments are also very quiet at night. There are 2 swimming pools, one of which is heated. There is never a problem to get sun loungers around the pool. There is no charge for using the sun beds, but if you want a cushion it will cost 2 euros per day. Our guests also tell us that the staff at reception are also very friendly.

The Bahia Del Duque beach is also a very short walk away.

All of the apartments that we offer are privately owned. Most of them have been fully refurbished and are offered on a self catering basis. We don't offer all inclusive, half board or bed and breakfast basis holidays. The apartments are cleaned before guests arrival. Bed linen and towels for the bathroom are provided. These are changed weekly. If extra service is required, this could be arranged for a small extra charge payable locally.

The complex is right on the sea front and you can walk in either direction on the promenade. A great holiday for people who love to stroll.

An obvious point, but perhaps the best selling point for these holidays is the year round sunshine. Most of our guests who book on this complex, ask to come back year after year. The apartments are in huge demand as a result, so it is advisable to book as early as possible. Most of the apartments on the complex are either studios or one bedroom apartments. A small number of the apartments have been converted to two bedroom apartments.

It is recommended to book an apartment with a pool and sea view. These will also have views across to the island of La Gomera. A small number of the apartments on the other side of the complex (which don't have pool views), will have a view over the car park.

Linen and Towels

For guests staying longer than a week a spare set of linen/towels are left in the apartment (usually in the wardrobe), or alternatively a cleaning service is available for 10 euros per hour, which includes a linen/towel change.

Method of Payment

A deposit is required to secure the booking. The balance of the booking fee is payable in cash on arrival.

Security Bond

The owner also requires a security bond of 250 euros to be paid in cash on arrival. This will be refunded back to clients on the day of departure, or before in the case of an early check out (providing there is no damage in the apartment)
