El Faro restaurant gets some great reviews and is situated on the Parque Santiago V complex in the posh part of Playa de las Americas. Although, not the cheapest, the food is excellent. The restaurant is on the 1st floor and is accessed by stairs (chair lift available)and there is a terrace on the 2nd floor. We would recommend the fillet steak and the fish dishes in particular and try the fried camembert and mulberry sauce for a starter. The restaurant is air conditioned.

The chef, Alejandro Gil Lopez has opened a 2nd restaurant in Las Americas, opposite the Noelia Sur hotel. It is called Meson Las Lanzas and specialises in traditional Spanish dishes using fresh ingredients of the day. They also offer large paellas which can be eaten in the resaurant or delivered to other venues.
