Three Bed cottage
St Anns is situated in a brilliant seaside location, just 5 minutes walk from the beach. The nearest sandy beach is Oddicombe Beach. It is a very steep
walk down from the clifftop to the beach. But luckily, there is a cliff railway. In the Summer months you can hire kayaks and paddle boards. St Anns is close to lots of
other amenities such as grocery shops, restaurants, pubs,
chemist, fishmonger, hairdressers, newsagent, supermarket, banks and more. St Anns is comfortably furnished and has three bedrooms. There is a double bed in the master
bedroom, two single beds in the second bedroom and bunk beds in the third bedroom. St Anns can therefore sleep 6 people. There are two reception rooms and wifi
broadband is available for a small extra charge. The kitchen is fully equipped with a small dishwasher, fridge, separate freezer, gas oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, washing machine etc.
Outside there is a lovely walled garden which surrounds the house, which is detached. We employ a gardener who works in the garden on a regular basis to keep it looking
nice.
We get a lot of good feedback from guests staying at St Anns. They tell us they love the location. One tip from one guest was book a table at Memories Bistro, but be sure to
do it at least 6 weeks in advance. This restaurant is very small, with just a few tables and is run by a husband and wife team. They are only open on Friday and Saturday evenings.
The food is excellent which is why it is very popular. You will see why it is necessary to book so far ahead. They serve a lot of fish dishes. Our guest had turbot which was
apparently very good.
There is a fine fishmonger in the pedestranised precinct. If you don't live by the sea and like fish, you will appreciate how fresh and delicious the fish is from here. One
of our guest bought a whole dressed crab, which was enough for six people at lunch. They also serve sandwiches.
If you are interested in the history of this lovely town, we can recommend visiting this photographic record, which shows what Torquay was like over a hundred years ago:
