Three Bed cottage
St Anns is one of our Torquay cottage lets and is available for holiday rental all year round. It is in a great location and is only a short walk from the beach.
In addition to being in walking distance from several family friendly beaches, restaurants, shops, pubs etc., the cottage is also close to several tourist attractions. One
of these is Babbacombe Model Village, which is literally only around the corner. It is a great attraction for families with young children. Even the small children will feel
like giants walking around this miniature world. It consists of hundreds of scenes in miniature and has been open since 1963. The gardens here are award winning. It is ranked
very high on Tripadvisor as a top place to visit in Torquay and within the English Riviera. As well as buildings, there are miniature characters, which the children love. You also
get given a spotter sheet, so children can walk around seeing what they can find. There is a lot of humour as well, which the adults and children enjoy alike. It is an evolving
spectacle, so don't worry if you have already been before. You are still sure to see new displays.
Some of the more interesting displays include a beach and lake, a football stadium, a model railway, a fire eating dragon, Stonehenge and a house on fire. There is such a lot of
detail and humour in all the displays, it really does mean it is worthwhile to take your time or even go around twice. Guests can easily spend a couple of hours of fun here.
The Model Village is set in 4 acres of miniature landscaped gardens. An army of professional gardeners work on this year round to ensure it is all kept to the proper scale and
immaculate. Guests will be very impressed. New plants are planted each year so the display is constantly changing and evolving.
There is disabled access for wheelchair users. Two disabled access parking bays are provided and of course assistance dogs are allowed.
There is also a tea room which is open from April through to October, where lunch and refreshments are served. Opening hours are 10am until 4pm and until 9pm on Thursdays. There is
also a gift shop which is open all year round.
