Three Bed cottage
We have been renting out this cottage for over 10 years and have had many guests over the years. A lot of these are so in love with the cottage that they keep coming back time and time again,
as if it was their own holiday home. Many of these come to stay more than once a year.
We have been working hard in 2017 to improve facilities at the house and now have a regular gardener who is looking after the grounds on an ongoing basis. She has already tidied up the front of
the house and has created a new sunny patio area and the drive now has new shingle. The back garden has 2 sections, one lower patio and one upper secret garden. I can't wait to see the results
of her labour once everything is finished.
Our guests tell us that the cottage is very cosy, as we have a combi boiler which is very efficient at pumping heat around the house. The cottage has been decorated and furnished in a vintage
style to suit the age of the house.
They always say the most important thing when purchasing a property is "location, location, location". The same is true with holiday homes. St Anns in Torquay certainly ticks all the boxes
in this regard. It is only a 5-10 minute walk from the nearest swimming beach, which is Oddicombe. There is a cliff railway which can take you down to the sand, as the walk is rather steep.
A little further one is Babbacombe Beach. Both are family friendly beaches. Babbacombe Downs is a beautiful area just on the cliff top above Oddicombe Beach. The views from here are
outstanding. There is a grassy area with a promenade which is prettily lit at night. There are also several pubs, hotels and restaurants along this stretch. I would especially recommend
Angels for either lunch or afternoon cream tea. To sample a cream tea is an absolute must when in Devon. I can honestly say I have never had a better cream tea.
