Escalona is situated 7km from Villaflor in the rural part of Tenerife. The town has been established since the 16th century and there is a church, school, cultural centre and several hotels. Fiestas take place hear every July in honour of the patron saint of Santiago Apostol. There is a regular TITSA bus service.
