Altamira is a sought after 3 star complex, situated in the newer resort of Del Duque. It is right on the sea front and is surrounded by 5 star hotels such as the Rui Palace and the Sheraton La Caleta. It is an exclusive area with a fine selection of restaurants to choose from and a lovely promenade which takes you along past the Del Duque Playa, a small sandy beach with sun loungers and parasols.
The complex has a beautiful swimming pool which is heated in the Winter months. The pool is surrounded by sun terraces and garden areas, all of which are well maintained. There are ample sun loungers around the pool for guests to sunbathe. There is also a pool table (one for adults and other for children), table tennis table, games room for children evening entertainment, lounge bar, restaurant and a pool side snack bar. |

The pretty fishing village of La Caleta is within easy walking distances. There are many lovely fish restaurants to choose from here, many of which have amazing sea views, being right on the sea front. Or guests can walk along the promenade in the other direction towards Fanabe, which is also well served with bars, shopping, restaurants, nightlife etc. The balconies are large and have amazing sea views. Most of the apartments also have pool views and others views towards the mountains. Many of the apartments have sun loungers on the balconies with patio table and chairs for alfresco dining. The 24 hour reception is located on the 5th floor. There is a refurbished shared lounge area here with an impressive library and wi-fi internet access is available here as well. Wifi is also available around the swimming pool. If wifi internet is also required in the apartment it can be purchased from reception for 25 euros per week. There is satellite TV on the complex, which is piped through to all the apartments. This includes international channels including some English channels. The complex is suitable for people with mobility problems as it has a lift to all floors. Taxis can be booked via reception (they come within a few minutes). There is also a room dedicated to storing cases for clients on their last day, in case their flight leaves later than their departure from the apartment. There is also a large car park available for guests. Altamira resort is very well adapted to wheelchairs. The are ramps everywhere throughout the resort, as well as 3 elevators. So there will be no steps to be used. It is possible to hire a cot from reception. |
