Five Bed cottage
Gallery Cottage is one of three cottages which date from the early 18th century and were originally the stabling and grooming quarters on the Earl of Portsmouth's estate. The property is situated in Eggesford, near Chulmleigh in Devon and sleeps 10 people in five bedrooms. If the three cottages are booked together they can sleep up to 24 people. The surrounding countryside was infact used for the film 'Tarka the Otter'. The cottages share an enclosed courtyard where a sauna and hot tub are provided for guests to use. This is surrounded by the private grounds of the estate which includes a childrens' play area with climbing frames.
The original character has been retained including an open fire or wood burning stove, inglenook fireplace, beams, flagstone or wooden floors. There is a garden area including a barbeque for alfresco dining, or if preferred outside catering can be provided on request.
