Four Bed villa with sea view

Villa Amalia is a lovely four-bedroom detached villa that can sleep up to 8 people. It is situated close to the beach in the Matagorda area of Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote. It boasts air conditioning, as well as a private heated pool, table tennis table and pool table. The sun terrace is surrounded by high walls offering guests a high level of privacy.

As well as Matagorda Beach which is only 400 yards away, the villa is also close to the popular promenade with a wide variety of restaurants and bars to choose from. The kidney shaped pool is approximately 9.4m x 4.5m and is 1m to 1.6m deep. As previously mentioned, it is electrically heated and has a pool cover and roman steps. There is a covered area with a patio table and chairs for alfresco dining and plenty of sun loungers for relaxing in the sun and a sun umbrella. There is also a barbeque and a pool table and ping pong table for hours of entertainment.

Inside the villa the living room is spacious and airy with plenty of comfortable seating. There is also a flat-screen 40-inch TV with a full satellite package, as well as free fibre-optic wifi internet access.

The modern kitchen is again very spacious with all the modern conveniences you would expect from such a high-quality villa, including a dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave, iron, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer, hob, and oven.  There is also a separate utility room with a washing machine.

The master bedroom is located on the upper floor and has a king-size double bed with fitted wardrobes and an ensuite bathroom consisting of a bath with shower overhead, twin wash hand basins, bidet and WC. Patio doors lead from the bedroom out to a balcony which enjoys amazing sea and beach views. This balcony can also be accessed from the first-floor landing.

The other three bedrooms are located on the ground floor.

The second bedroom has 2 single beds, fitted wardrobes and a ceiling fan. Patio doors from this bedroom lead out to the sun terrace and pool area. The third and fourth bedroom also have two single beds, fitted wardrobes and ceiling fans.

All four bedrooms have air conditioning.

There is also a family bathroom on the ground floor consisting of a bath with shower overhead, twin wash hand basins, bidet and a WC.

For security the villa has two safety deposit boxes, as well as an alarm. Off street parking is available, however, a car is not essential for staying in Matagorda. But, it could be useful if guests want to explore the island.

On request, baby cots and highchairs can be provided for a small extra cost.

The villa is cleaned for guests arrival and linen and towels are provided. Additional cleaning and change of linen/towels is provided weekly, or mid-stay in the case of bookings of 10-13 nights. Pool/beach towels are also provided for guests convenience.

The location of this villa is very popular being only 0.3km from the sandy beach of Matagorda. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available for hire on the beach. The villa is also close to the commercial centre where guests will find plenty of shops as well as restaurants and bars. There is a range of cuisine on offer from traditional Spanish through to international menus. If you don’t want to hire a car but would still like to explore a bit of the island this is possible as the bus and taxi service is very reliable and inexpensive. It is quite a flat area, so is very popular with people who love sports. You will see a lot of joggers and cyclists enjoying the sunshine along the seafront. Matagorda is a quieter resort than the nearby Puerto del Carmen. But you can have the best of both worlds as it is only a 10 minute taxi ride away. It’s also worth mentioning the popular marina at Puerto Calero, which is worth exploring. You can either take the taxi boat from the Old Town in Puerto del Carmen or it is a short drive away. Activities on the island include a water park (Costa Teguise), whale museum (Puerto Calero), horse riding (Macher), spas and wellness centres, shopping, bike hire, sports centres, tennis, go karting, mini golf, diving, golf, island excursions, deep sea fishing, boat trips and a theme park.
