Our Opinion
|
The resort of Vilamoura is a very popular destination in the Algarve area of Portugal. As our regular customers will already know we have a great number of apartments to rent out on the Old Village complex. But the complex of Solar do Golfe is also a very nice complex, just next door to Old Village and only a 30 minute drive from Faro airport. We recommend that guests take a taxi from the airport - they are very easy to obtain. This two bedroom apartment is our first apartment rental on this complex. It has a very large balcony overlooking the pool and even has air conditioning. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath. This small gated complex is very pretty set amongst tropical gardens. It is suitable for both couples and families and is maintained to a high standard. There is more than one swimming pool to choose from, all of which have a shallow section so is suitable for children learning to swim. The complex is very well located within the resort as it is only a short walk from supermarkets and restaurants. The marina and beaches can be easily reached via a train which stops outside of the complex, or guests could walk which only takes 10 minutes. There are 5 golf courses within walking distances and several others within a short drive. In addition to golf there is a wealth of other sporting activities available locally such as tennis, deep sea fishing, paragliding, jet skiing, wind surfing, water skiing, fishing, swimming, horse riding, snorkeling, diving, sailing and cycling. A lot of our guests tell us that Solar do Golfe is a comfortable and secure place to stay and that they would definitely return again. We must be doing something right.
