Our Opinion
This one bedroom apartment on Old Village Prestige, is one of our Vilamoura apartment rentals. It enjoys a pool view and has air conditioning.
We have many guests who book apartments on Old Village year after year. They tell us that the staff on this complex are always friendly and
helpful and the Old Village is in a superb location as it is only a 20 minute walk to the marina, where you will find many restaurants and
shops.

But you don't need to walk that far to find good restaurants. There are several onsite. For example the restaurants and bars in the square are highly
recommended. The complex is also really close to the golf courses: only 5 minutes walk.
The gardens and grounds are very pretty and well maintained. The same goes for the several pools of course. The main pool is sandwiched between River
Valley Gardens, Alexander Gardens and River Gardens. There is another pool near Village Square and Village Gate. The Prestige section also has it's own
pool and a further pool is situated at the other end of the complex, near Garden Square. A lot of the apartments on the higher floors have private roof terraces,
which are a great place for sun-bathing. Why not ask us to recommend one of these. Or if you prefer we can suggest apartments on the ground floor with terraces.
These are often more popular with families with very young children.
We recommend the Old Village apartment complex as suitable for both families and couples.
Vilamoura is well known for its many golf courses, and this is undoubtedly the attraction for many people. However there are many more attractions
for guests staying in our apartment rentals. For example why not take a stroll in the peaceful and quiet pine forrests. Or if you want a more traditional
holiday, you can visit the beautiful beaches. For a bit of excitement and nightlife, try out the casino and the nightclubs. Or there are riding schools
and shooting clubs.
For those wishing to savour a bit of the history of Vilamoura, we recommend a visit to the Museum of Cerro da Vila (the entrance fee is only 3 euros). It
is located just above the marina. Outside of the museum the preserved Roman settlement gives an amazing insight into Roman life in Portugal. Definitely
worth a visit in our opinion. Undoubtedly
to make the most of all that Vilamoura can offer, it is best to hire a car. Or if you prefer, just relax and enjoy your apartment holiday within the Old
Village complex, as everything essential is within walking distance.
